Acceptable Usage Policy

MantraCloud's Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) is an integral part of the hosting agreement. Violations can result in account suspension or termination. This policy applies to all MantraCloud services and may be modified at any time.

Prohibited Uses of Systems and Services

1. Illegal Content and Materials

Transmission, distribution, or storage of any material in violation of any applicable law is prohibited. This includes copyrighted works used without authorization, obscene material, defamatory content, illegal threats, and items violating export control laws.

2. Criminal Activities

The following activities are explicitly forbidden:

  • Drug dealing
  • Piracy and copyright violations
  • Illegal gambling and lottery operations
  • Arms trafficking
  • Stalking and state/federal law violations
  • Unauthorized computer system access
  • Fraud schemes and harassment
  • Threats of bodily harm
  • Export restriction violations
  • Service disruptions and network interference

3. Dedicated Server Content

MantraCloud does not actively monitor dedicated server content. Legal adult content is permitted. Content is reviewed only upon complaint from verified third parties.

4. Unsolicited Bulk Email (Spam)

Sending of any form of Unsolicited Bulk Email through MantraCloud's servers is prohibited. Violations result in:

  • Immediate permanent termination
  • Equipment and data seizure
  • Fund forfeiture
  • Reputation damage fees
  • $500 per incident cleanup fees (due within 24 hours)

5. Unconfirmed Mailing Lists

Subscribing addresses without express and verifiable permission is prohibited. All lists must use confirmed opt-in. Confirmation messages must be retained for the list's duration. Purchasing third-party email lists is forbidden.

6. Software Designed for Policy Violations

Distributing software designed to violate the AUP or facilitate spam, flooding, mail-bombing, or denial-of-service attacks is prohibited.

7. Spamhaus ROKSO Database

Operating accounts on behalf of or reselling services to entities listed in the Spamhaus Register of Known Spam Operations (ROKSO) database is forbidden.

8. Unauthorized Access

Unauthorized attempts by a user to gain access to any account or computer resource not belonging to that user is prohibited. MantraCloud reserves the right to report illegal activities to regulatory authorities.

9. Service Evasion

Obtaining or attempting to obtain service through deceptive means to avoid payment is prohibited.

10. Data Tampering

Unauthorized access, alteration, destruction, or any attempt thereof, of any information of any MantraCloud customers or end-users is forbidden.

11. Denial-of-Service Attacks

Knowingly engaging in activities designed to harass or cause denial-of-service, whether on MantraCloud networks or competitors' networks, is prohibited.

12. Network Interference

Using services to interfere with other customers' or authorized users' network access is prohibited.

13. Shared Hosting Resource Limits

Background programs, chat rooms, IRC bots, and mass mailings (exceeding 1,000 emails daily) violate this policy. Usage exceeding fifteen percent (15%) or greater of system resources permits immediate termination without notice. Domains exceeding 10 gigabytes of bandwidth in short periods may be terminated without warning. Domain pointing scripts are prohibited.

14. Additional Prohibited Activities

In addition to the items listed above, all criminal activities as described in applicable law are prohibited when using MantraCloud services.

Customer Responsibility

Each customer bears responsibility for user activities and must ensure compliance with this policy. Violations forwarded to customers must be addressed promptly, or MantraCloud may suspend services without notice.

Service Refusal and Termination

MantraCloud reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or suspend service at its sole discretion. All sub-networks and dedicated servers must adhere to these policies. Violations result in immediate account deactivation without refund.
